Simple File Annotator is an application intended for creating descriptions (annotations) of files within a single directory. Annotations are joined with files either by name, or by MD5 hash. Thus, it is possible to match annotations correctly, even if the file name is changed. All data are stored in XML file and thanks to XSL/CSS can also be viewed in a web browser. The application features simple, explorer-like interface.
It is possible to filter (search) files view by fragment of the name or description. Displayed files can easily be deleted. Image files have an instant preview.
It implements the idea of connecting file's annotation not only with its name but also with the contents (technically, MD5 hash). It features explorer-like interface, which provides tabular view with annotations displayed right beside the filename.
Chances are, this application will change the way you think of organizing files on a hard drive.
